A Different Kind of Travel
A travel designer is not a travel agent.
The difference is the same as the difference between a tailored suit and one from the rack. Both will get you dressed. Only one will fit.
We do not book trips. We design them. Every itinerary begins with a conversation, not a catalogue. We listen for the unspoken: how you actually want to feel when you land, what pace suits your family at this stage of life, which doors only the right introductions can open. Then we draw the journey around the answer.
Years in Practice
A quarter century of designing journeys. Every relationship deepens what we know.
Countries Travelled
Personally. We do not recommend a place we have not walked, dined in, slept in.
Regions We Cover
From polar ice to equatorial islands. Depth matters more than breadth, always.
Virtuoso Advisor
Recognised among the most accomplished travel designers in the global network.
What You Receive
The value of a travel designer.
Anyone can book a hotel. The question is what comes attached.
One
Access that is genuinely yours
Rooms reserved before they reach the public site. Restaurants that close to the public the night you arrive. Private viewings of museums, vineyards, ateliers, and homes that do not appear on any itinerary you can purchase elsewhere.
Two
A single point of trust
One person who knows your travel history, the names of your children, what your spouse cannot eat, why this trip matters. When something needs to be moved at midnight in a foreign city, that person picks up the phone.
Three
Time you do not lose
The hours most travellers spend researching, comparing, second guessing, and rebooking are ours to absorb. You arrive at the airport with one document, one number to call, and the certainty that everything between here and home has been considered.
Four
Judgement built over decades
Knowing which property in Lake Como has the better breakfast. Which captain in the Whitsundays you actually want at the wheel. Which season in Patagonia rewards the journey and which one punishes it. Earned, not searchable.
Five
Recovery when travel breaks
Flights cancel. Weather closes mountains. Borders shift overnight. A travel designer is the difference between a ruined trip and a quietly rerouted one. Most of our finest moments with clients have come at the edges of these days.
Six
A relationship that compounds
The second trip we design for you is better than the first. The fifth is unrecognisable. We learn the shape of your travel year, the rhythm of your family, the way you actually move through a place. The work deepens.
The Process
How a journey takes shape.
Slower than you may expect. The pace is the point.
The Conversation
An hour, sometimes longer. We ask about your travel history, what worked, what did not, where you have been meaning to go and have not yet. No itinerary is mentioned.
The First Draft
A proposed direction, written as prose, not bullet points. Properties, regions, pacing, the rough shape of the days. We expect to revise. The first draft is a starting place.
The Refinement
Two or three rounds, usually. The journey settles. Reservations are placed. Introductions are made. The document evolves into the final itinerary, every detail considered.
The Journey
You travel. We remain on call, in your timezone, the entire time. When you return, we debrief. That conversation becomes the foundation of the next journey, whenever it comes.
