Seventeen regions, each one we know personally. Below, in alphabetical order, the briefest possible introduction to each.
Australia & New Zealand
Pacific
Two countries the world thinks it knows, and never quite does. A vineyard estate above Marlborough Sound, a private skipper through the Whitsundays, a homestead deep in the Flinders Ranges. The distances are real. So is the reward.
Begin a Journey→Central America
Latin America
The Pacific on one side, the Caribbean on the other, and rainforest pulled tight between them. We work with the small handful of properties that have refused to scale, where breakfast still arrives by hand and the howler monkeys are the wake up call.
Begin a Journey→Classic Europe
Western Europe
The grand tour, but properly drawn. Paris in early autumn before the leaves turn, a Tuscan villa with one family in residence at a time, an after hours visit to the Uffizi with the curator who knows it best. Slowness is the entire point.
Begin a Journey→East Asia
Asia Pacific
Japan rewards the patient and Korea the curious. A ryokan tucked into a mountain valley with a single hinoki tub, a tea ceremony with a fourteenth generation master, a private dawn at Naoshima before the boats arrive. The journeys our clients remember most often start here.
Begin a Journey→Eastern Europe & Baltics
Continental Europe
The Europe that travel magazines tend to overlook. Prague in shoulder season, a private tour of the Hermitage storehouses, a country estate on the Estonian coast where the sauna has been running for two hundred years. Quietly extraordinary, and increasingly hard to access without the right introductions.
Begin a Journey→Eurasia
Crossroads
The Silk Road never really closed. Samarkand at first light, a horseback day across the Kyrgyz steppe, a private dinner inside a Caucasian winery cave system. For travellers who have already done the obvious and are ready to leave the map behind.
Begin a Journey→Mediterranean
Southern Europe
An entire civilisation, distilled into a coastline. We design Mediterranean journeys around the people, not the postcards: the Sicilian fisherman who still knows where the bluefin run, the Provencal estate that opens for six guests a year, the captain in Mallorca who refuses to take more than one charter at a time.
Begin a Journey→Middle East
Arabian Peninsula
Jordan, Oman, the Empty Quarter, the Levant. A desert camp that has been outfitting expeditions for forty years, a private tour of Petra hours before the gate opens, a falconry afternoon outside Muscat. Few regions reward a properly designed itinerary more than this one.
Begin a Journey→North Africa
Saharan Region
Morocco and Egypt are the obvious doors. The interesting work begins past them. A medina riad held by the same family for three generations, a private dahabiya on the Nile with no other guests aboard, a Berber camp pitched somewhere our cartographers can find but most cannot.
Begin a Journey→North America
USA & Canada
A continent often underestimated by those who live on it. A ranch in Wyoming with no fences in eyeline, the Maritimes in early September, a working winery weekend in the Okanagan. We design domestic journeys for clients who want serious distance without the long flight.
Begin a Journey→Oceania
Pacific Islands
Fiji and French Polynesia get the headlines. The smaller islands of Vanuatu, the Cook chain, the lesser known atolls of Tuvalu hold the real treasure. Overwater bungalows that mean it, dive sites with one boat in attendance, sunsets that genuinely change the way a person thinks about water.
Begin a Journey→Polar Regions
Antarctic & Arctic
Beyond Antarctica, the Arctic Circle proper. Svalbard in spring, a private icebreaker through the Northwest Passage, a wildlife week at the edge of Hudson Bay during polar bear season. The light alone justifies the journey.
Begin a Journey→Scandinavia & Nordics
Northern Europe
The aesthetic that quietly reshaped luxury hospitality. A Norwegian fjord lodge that operates with eight rooms, a Stockholm archipelago island booked exclusively, a winter week in Lapland that has nothing to do with reindeer parks. Nordic restraint is not minimalism. It is editing.
Begin a Journey→South America
Latin America
Patagonia, Peru, the Atacama, the cloud forests of Ecuador. We have been routing journeys through this continent for two decades, and the properties we now favour are mostly the small ones: a converted estancia in Argentina, a single guide outfit in the Sacred Valley, a lodge above the salt flats with twelve rooms in total.
Begin a Journey→Southeast Asia
Indochina
Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, the islands beyond. The region rewards a slower itinerary than most travellers attempt. A river cruise on the Mekong that takes a week instead of three days, a temple complex visited at five in the morning before any tourists, a private chef working the markets of Hanoi at dawn.
Begin a Journey→Southern Africa
Safari & Coast
The reason many of our clients began travelling seriously in the first place. Singita, andBeyond, Tswalu, Wilderness, the small private concessions where the rangers know your name by the second morning. We add a coast week, almost always. The contrast is what makes the safari feel complete.
Begin a Journey→United Kingdom
British Isles
London is barely the half of it. A shooting weekend on a Highland estate, a literary tour through Yorkshire and the Lakes, a country house in Cornwall with a private cove. The British countryside, properly accessed, is one of the most quietly luxurious experiences in travel.
